Welcome to Boston in Transit on WardMaps.com! Our previously standalone website www.bostonintransit.com has migrated here. Here, we celebrate the rich history of public transportation infrastructure in Greater Boston, Massachusetts! This section of the WardMaps site is built around Boston in Transit, the book. We've also created a map documenting the history of the MBTA's colored lines. Our collection contains hundreds of images, ephemera, maps, and artifacts, many of which were featured in our "Getting Around Town" exhibit at the Boston Public Library.
